Program Overview:
The purpose of this activity is to educate nurses on liver and gallbladder disease in pregnancy.


Objectives:
  

1. 
Discuss anatomy and physiology of the liver and gallbladder

2. 
Discuss pregnancy related changes affecting the liver and gallbladder

3. 
Explain guidelines for diagnosis and management of gallstones, intrahepatic cholestasis, acute fatty liver and hepatitis during pregnancy

Speaker Bio:

Jeni Warrior, APRN, CNP, has worked at UAMS as a RN in antepartum, postpartum, L&D and NICU for 6 years, and as an APRN for 3 years doing mostly high risk OB.  She also has taught OB clinicals in the UAMS College of Nursing for the last 7 years.
