Objectives:

  1. Update knowledge on caring for patients with SCI
  2. Review SCI treatment and management for common areas of concern.
  3. Learn what health professionals can do to prevent and mitigate complications due to SCI and potential for cure of SCI.
  4. Discuss the natural prognosis after spinal cord injury and the state of present research methods being studied to improve neurologic recovery.

* Of those surveyed in a 25-county pilot area representing 50% of the SCI population, 84% felt physicians would benefit from updating their knowledge on comprehensive care for those with SCI.
